Miyamoto's getting old

Yesterday some bombastic news hit the Internet.

Shigeru Miyamoto... was retiring.

In an interview with Wired.com he said that he will move away from supervising the development of massive games passing the torch to the younger designers in the company and working on projects that won’t take as long to complete.

- That's it. I'm out -
The reaction was easy to predict.

Shares in Nintendo fell 2 percent to 11,040 yen on Thursday, compared with a 0.7 percent drop in the Nikkei average.

So they did what had to be done.

"This is absolutely not true," said a spokeswoman for Nintendo. "There seems to have been a misunderstanding. He has said all along that he wants to train the younger generation.
"He has no intention of stepping down. Please do not be concerned."

- Quick get in there and deny it -

They were just kidding. No cause for alarm. Everyone please disperse.

Sounds weird ... Not sure if trolling ... or just getting old ... that will be a great loss to videogamming, i am playing The Skyward Sword and it's connecting the dots with other Legend of Zelda's, althrough the gameplay is suprisingly addicting and very similiar to metroid, and again VERY ADDICTING
