The failboat Sony is going to have a new commander. Kaz Hirai.

The Verge reports that "Sony will be promoting current Executive Deputy President Kazuo "Kaz" Hirai to president as soon as April, while Howard Stringer is expected to remain chairman and CEO of the company."

Let us take a moment to remember everything good old Kaz has done.

Kaz began working for Sony in 1995 and now, if the reports are right, will replace Howard Stringer as CEO.
